October wrap-up

October is just about over…and it was a great month for us.  We finally released our new album and our radio single has continued to climb up the chart.  If you bought the new album, we appreciate it!  If you haven’t, check it out and let us know what you think!

After our show at Railroad Blues in Alpine last weekend, Seth and I made the long drive up to Lubbock and Amarillo to visit some radio stations and get the lay of the land in that part of the world.  We had awesome visits with Craig Vaughn at KPUR in Amarillo and David Wilde at KJDL in Lubbock.  Both of those guys were great and we look forward to making it up that way again soon.

While we were in Lubbock, we went to the Blue Light and I played a few songs for their songwriter night.  We met some great people and listened to some really talented artists.  And we drank a little whisky and Lone Star…

We’re back in Austin and back to work spreading the word about our music.  We have some great shows coming up in the next few months with Cameran Nelson, Statesboro Review and Cody Canada & The Departed.  Check out our calendar and find a good time to come see us!  Hope to see you soon!

Johnny’s Outback with Pat Green

We got a last minute offer that we just couldn’t refuse…  Friday night we’ll be playing with Pat Green at Johnny’s Outback in Salado!

17 years ago, I was riding around Woodville, Texas with my buddy James when he asked me, “Have you ever listened to Pat Green?” I told him I hadn’t, and he put Here We Go (Live) in the CD player. That moment is burned into my memory. I credit George Strait for my love of music, but hearing Pat Green for the first time was the moment I realized I wanted to play my own music.

After 17 years of being a fan in the crowd, we get to share the stage with Pat Green and play our music for the crowd that I stood in so many times.  We hope you’ll come out and be a part of it!

New record and other news…

We have a lot going on behind the scenes right now in preparation for the release of our new album.  We’re really excited about the great team we’ve assembled and we’re all working hard toward a release in late September or early October.  It’s a little later than we had originally planned, but sometimes you just have to make sure all your ducks are in a row.

In advance of the album release, we’ve decided to release “Leaving In Your Eyes” as our first single off the new record.  If you’ve been out to a show lately, then you’ve probably heard that song before.  We’re really excited to get it out to radio.

This is a busy and exciting time for us and we can’t wait to bring you in on everything we’ve got in the works.  Stay tuned!

Overdue…

I’ve neglected posting, so here’s an update…

2016 has been crazy busy.  Most notably, we recorded a new album!  In January, we hooked up with Dave Percefull and yellow DOG Studios in beautiful Wimberley, Texas to record a 10-song LP.  It was an amazing experience!  And we couldn’t be happier about the result.  Some of the songs you may have heard before, some of them you probably haven’t.  It was just us, in a room, with our songs, the way we wrote them.  We co-produced the album with Dave, who also played keys on the record, and is a complete and total badass.  We were also fortunate to have Kim Deschamps play pedal steel guitar and Barbara Nesbitt sing harmonies on the record, both incredible musicians.  I mean, you can’t have a country record without steel guitar!  Needless to say…we’re extremely excited about getting this record out so you can hear it.  Stay tuned, we might give you a sneak peak…

Wild West Cedar Park with Kevin Fowler

We have one more big show left in 2015.  We’ll be at Wild West Cedar Park with Kevin Fowler on December 30th!  It’s a hometown show for us so we’re hoping to see all our friends out that night.  And Kevin always puts on a hell of a show so you won’t be disappointed.  It’s guaranteed to be a good time!

In the meantime, we’re getting ready to go to the studio (finally) and finish our new record.  We have some great new songs and we can’t wait to get them to you!  Stay tined!

Lots to do…

It always seems like this time of year is busy for us.  We have a full calendar, lots of new songs to work out, and plans to head back to the studio to record a new EP.  Maybe we’ll get it all done by the end of the year.

In other news, we have a big show announcement coming soon.  Stay tuned.

Bastrop Homecoming Dance with Cody Johnson

We’re really excited to be opening for Cody Johnson at the Bastrop Homecoming Dance on Friday, July 31st.  It’s guaranteed to be a good time, so we hope to see lots of friends out in Bastrop.
